HOW WILL OUR ALLIANCE WORK?

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE MY CLIENTS TO RECEIVE A VAT REFUND?

This depends on the various Tax offices.

WHAT COSTS ARE INVOLVED?

THERE ARE NO COSTS INVOLVED.  Our aim is to work with our partners to help their clients save money.  There is no upfront fee and we only charge a commission on successfully refunded VAT.  THERE ARE NO HIDDEN COSTS FOR EITHER SUPPLIER OR CLIENT.

ARE THERE DEADLINES AND LIMITS FOR CLAIMING?

Each year there are two major deadlines:

  • JUNE DEADLINE – All the European Union Countries
  • DECEMBER DEADLINE – United Kingdom

If a claim is lodged after a deadline it will be rejected with no exceptions; however our dedicated staff will ensure that all claims are submitted before the deadline where possible. 

WHAT COUNTRIES CAN WE CLAIM FROM AND HOW FAR BACK CAN WE GO?

Each country has different rules as to how far one can go back.  It can be anywhere in the range of one year to five years depending on the country in question.  Rulings are always changing and reciprocity is granted to different countries but your VAT Alliance representative will keep you and your clients up to date. 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Any overseas business traveler is eligible provided that:

1.       The company is registered outside the country in which the claim is being made.

2.       The overseas trip is for business purposes.

3.       The company is not registered for VAT in the country in which the claim is being made.

4.       NOTE: If your company is based within the European Union, it must be registered for VAT in the home country.
