What is VAT?
Value Added Tax (VAT) is an indirect tax on the value added by each vendor or supplier in the production/distribution chain, and is levied at each transaction stage, i.e. where a supply of goods or services takes place. All EU countries are obliged to implement a VAT system; in the Republic of Ireland, VAT is charged at a rate of 21% on most goods and services. As Expo Exhibitions is VAT registered, all its exhibitors must pay Irish VAT on their exhibition and related expenses.
How can I reclaim the VAT?
Republic of Ireland exhibitors:
Exhibitors will be able to reclaim their VAT through their normal input and output returns process.
Non-Republic of Ireland exhibitors:
Exhibitors will be able to reclaim their VAT through a multi-step application process.
How we can save you time & hassle
VAT Alliance can now reclaim the Irish VAT on behalf of Expo's non-Republic of Ireland exhibitors. VAT Alliance will carry out all stages of the refund for exhibitors who do not wish to spend the time and money in preparing the applications themselves. There are no upfront fees and a processing fee of 20% will become payable only on successfully refunded VAT, so that 80% of the VAT amount will be returned to you, net of all costs and expenses and with absolutely no work required from your end.
If you wish to avail of this service, all you have to do is to complete this authorisation form and return to Expo in hard copy as FACSIMILES OR SCANNED COPIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.
Then VAT Alliance will obtain all the documents required, fill out the application form and liaise with the Irish VAT office to obtain your refund as soon as possible.
